Why Freeze-Dry

Freeze-drying has been around for decades and was initially developed to make transporting and storing food easier for those who live a busy lifestyle. The process preserves foods by removing 98% of the water content while maintaining over 90% of their original nutrients. This prevents foods from spoiling, while still maintaining most of the flavor, color, and texture. Freeze-dried foods can last up to 25 years when stored in a dry, cool place.

Veteran Dry Goods' gentle freeze-drying process never includes adding any artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or flavors, so when you receive your product it is in its purest form- 100% natural.

Nutrition

Freeze-drying maintains over 90% of the nutritional value of foods. Other methods of preservation, such as canning and dehydrating, use high temperatures that destroy much of the food value.
